7D going into CPS UK - Banding issue?

Hi,

I'm sending my 7D and 70-200 F4 L IS in to Canon for cleaning and calibrating, because the hit rate on the 70-200 with both my 40D and 7D is hit and miss at best, which is irritating.

[My 40D, 17-55 and 10-22 will also be going into CPS but as a second batch]

Now my 7D exhibits this banding issue and sometimes it's actually visible without much of a crop, which is more irritating than the AF, but i've ignored it as I actually couldn't be bothered to deal with it until now.

Can Canon actually fix this or shall I not bother mentioning it to them?

[Firmware is up to date, etc]

Also I'm sending along a sheet detailing exactly what I want them to do. That is clean and calibrate the items, any tips on dealing with CPS UK?

Finally I assume if I send it to them insured in the original boxes thats fine for them?

Cheers.

I didn't look thru a ton of pictures, but I did see it in a couple at 1600 ISO. My 50D does not look that bad at 1600 ISO. Are you trying to change the exposure afterwards in RAW? If not, I would go ahead and mention it.
