Currently in Galveston, TX and doing some birding. Visited a park said to be home to various hawks, but had no luck at all. Back in town, on the road to our RV park, suddenly saw a RSH fly into a tree. After a minute or so, he flew to a post. Very cooperative, this one.

Those are beautiful shots.. Can I ask you which body you used for this, Your 50D or your 300d? and What lens did you use? I'm still learning so I would like to get an idea of what you used to get this shot.

Thanks, Marcy. We left home on 3/10, will be away through much of May. Sedona is a great place to lay up for a while. Give our regards to Win and Yo. I'd love to visit them, but it doesn't appear in the cards for this year.

Thank you. This was the 50D with Bigmos at 500mm, f 6.3. Shot from the car, just pulled onto the shoulder.
