Was working on this one the other day. There was a small void in the steel so went over to a buddy's that has a surface grinding rig and cleaned it off. The void was about .004" deep and took about .003 off the other side to match the grind lines up. It wasn't noticeable though I wanted this to be as symmetrical as possible.

A collector requested I run with this old 1904 Henckles piece. Not sure what to do whether to maintain the original patina or modernize it. It is in very good shape considering the age so I'm hesitant to go modern. Evening out the edge, refitting the original handles may be sufficient and that way it maintains the original build character. Only the center pin would have to be changed out.

Vosteed really did a great job with the presentation on this one. Great tin, nice pouch, sticker, two patches, cleaning cloth...and a fantastic knife. Pretty dang impressive for 70 bucks.

Vosteed Gator.

This is a Medford knock-off, but it's a pretty good one.
Even for an inexpensive knife, I love this thing, it has a really good feel and weight, it's kind of too large to carry, but I still do sometimes.
You can fling it open really easy, (if you partially open it about 1/8") no stud needed, it's VERY smooth.

Vosteed's packaging is impressive for the price point.

Finishing this one off, left to do is the sheath and sharpening.

Very pretty, but utilitarian-looking as well. Very nice!
