On top of that I have a BM531 already, and it generally splits time with my Delica. It seems very similar to the 531 - a tad lighter, grivory(?) handles, and S30v? -Dane

Yes, it is S30V with grivory handles and only 1.85 ounces in weight. It's extremely light in the hand but well balanced. I think this might become a favorite EDC.

(3 edits in all) | Aug 23, 2017 23:15 | #1009 If the BM530 would have had G10 handles, I'd have gotten that instead (I like the blade shape). I generally prefer FRN or similar over G10, but I heard the 530 flexed a bit too much. The 530 weighs 1.88 oz, and the 531 is 2.1. My only complaint is the clip (split arrow), and I know that's a very easy fix. I'm happier with BM's 154cm over their S30v so far. My 940 chips like crazy. I do really like that new Bugout though, and I especially like that it doesn't have black scales. -Dane
