Group that handles copyright cases for you, anyone know?

Someone mentioned to me a group that you join. You pay an annual fee and should your work be infringed upon they act on your behalf to settle it. Anyone know what organization that is? Seems like I've read it here before, but I can't remember what it was called. The protection wasn't the only benefit, but one of a few you gain from membership.
