HA HA!!! I was kinda thinking the same.

I have seen this and a few other cosmetic things done to cameras... But like the camera body bling and painting the bodies custom colors I think this too is really pretty silly. I certainly wouldnt waste my time or money on stuff like this. But, to each their own.

There is nothing that cannot be improved by making it "bling"

I think it's funny how opinionated people can be over whether or not you want to dress up your equipment.

I wish my lenses would quit using protection so they'd multiply.

That's a good idea. Time to stop using filters...

It's a Pentax, so it's okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get your camera some blingblang, baby!!

This product is sure to give rise to interest in photography anew. Though aiming for a feminine target, men too might get attracted to it slowly owing to their metro sexuality! Time to be done with your average bloated old-school DSLR camera and add to your bling factor!

If you're worried about a scratched hood... you could buy a replacement, or just take it to Line-X and forget about scratches forever, lol. Actually a cheap rattle can of black spray bedliner wouldn't look bad at all as long as you prep the surface well. It would just look like flat textured paint.

I'd like to see a diy for this, or at least a link to where to find the vynil. I'm into diy projects and also love to customize everything from cars to computers. It's just another way to express yourself. People in this thread trying to bash the idea is kind of sad. It's ok not to like it but don't try and make him feel like he wasted his time or whatever your intentions were.

i think it looks great :] might have to try this sometime. seen other people "sticker bomb" their hoods to hide scratches or scars on the hood itself.

Do you mind sharing exactly how you applied it using the blow dryer? If there is a video even better.

Also, do you have a photo to show what it looks like on the end where the edges of the vinyl meet up?
