Guitar player critique please :)

I'm still a total newb to portraiture, so feel free to point out even the smallest silly thing I can improve upon, I really want to get better
These might be a little over-processed too... maybe I'm trying to over-compensate for my lack of skills as a photog, lol.

You hit on my thoughts exactly, these are overprocessed. As I looked at each image the first thing I saw was the processing and not the image. In the first image, the broom shot, the backlighting is so strong that its hard to concentrate on his shadowed face. The white vignette in the second really doesnt work in this kind of shot. The third is a nice image but I cant help but think the processing has caused his face to look blown out in spots. The same goes for the last image, but less so. The processing works for this one for the most part. Trust yourself and your images.

K.I.S.S. That second photo brought a huge smile to my face..let the natural happen.you try too hard, and its lost.

top right, loose that horrible vinegeting (please).

I like the finish on the bottom row, gives a nice mood.

Made some changes based on your feedback... getting better?

I like the concept of the first one.

That's a fantastic, and well played Gibson he has there. Might try and feature some of it's character along with his too.
