I've undertaken the task of streamlining Crosswind Images and in an unfettered and shameless plug for hits, if anyone would care to pay a call to the website, I'm interested in hearing what people think of the new state of my Aviation section.

The major change: Grouping events into folders by year.

I think it lays out better now but I'd love some critical feedback.

Thanks All...

LOTS Very high stander and nice collection of photos.
Might get a function: change a random photo by click on your photo (? such as 1x.com)

Canon 5D3 + Zoom (EF 17-40L, 24-105L & 28-300L, 100-400L II) & Prime (24L II, 85L II, 100L, 135L & 200 f/2.8L II; Zeiss 1,4/35)
Sony α7r + Zeiss 1,8/55 FE
Nikon Coolpix A; Nikon F3 & F100 + Zeiss 1,4/50

Thanks very much for having a look.

I'm not familiar with the function you mention... Which photo and where would someone click? I'm not sure Zenfolio (which is the underlying service for my site) offers that.

I think the best I can do is the random slide show on the homepage (which I try to keep fairly fresh by swapping images out about once a week.)

Random photos are fun to explore (such as 'Stumble', which many people including me loss hours & hours with them :) ).

Ok, I understand now.

I don't think I can currently do this, but maybe someone with a deeper understanding of how you can manipulate the Zenfolio interface can enlighten me if I'm incorrect.

Thanks very much...

You welcome, Jay. You are the BEST.
Another website has similar your style, which I love the most. You might have a look, too.

I wouldn't do that in favor of showing a few of your best images because new visitors haven't seen them yet & old visitors will go to the folder that they're interested in.

I had a quick look at the site. Are the photos now duplicated in the year group and another folder such as modern military or warbirds? It makes sense to have them hosted on the Zenfolio backshop once and referenced in more than one folder to assist the casual looker/customer. If you met someone at an event they could look for pictures of that event. If someone loves WWI biplanes, they would not look in modern right? nor would they know that you happened to capture a great image at a fly-in Nov '09.
It seems odd that on the home>>aviation page the words below the image in yearly groups switch from # of galleries to # of photos depending on cursor placement but the rest show # of visitors and # of photos and does not change.
Is there a way to key word search? I also didn't check but are you SEO'd.
