Can you just e-mail me those images?

Anyone ever get the ol', "Can you just e-mail me those images?"

I've had people ask me that before and they don't seem to realize that in order to send them several 21mp images, I'd have to send an e-mail for each image and that's even if it sends because of the file size.

I just think it's funny when I hear this.

I think people just tend to use email when they mean send digitally

generally that would be done by uploading somewhere and sending them the links

I'd say sure and send em all at web ready 800x600 and tell them they can come get a CD / DVD of print ready from me for a price And then break their legs!! Thats how we do business right?

Nope. They want me to e-mail them the images. I usually just point them to my hosting site and remind them that e-mail doesn't work for everything.

When I get this, I tell them I will host it on a website where they can download the images at which ever size they would like.

Not if they e-mail you five hundred dollars in small, unmarked bills.

YouSendIt works great for sending large files.

Drop Box: A folder on your HD that any file put into it automatically uploads to a storage site and a right click copies the URL to your clipboard. I export directly from LR3 to the Drop Box folder.

For argument sakes here, it sounds like the customer has already paid their bill and simply want their files. I would never insult the customer with emailed versions that they can do little with and then tell them they have to come and get the physical disk. That's not service, imo.

I have a yousendit Pro account and it works great.

Assuming that we are not talking clients here, just email the RAW files. Perhaps that will end the requests.

Just email them a link to the folder on your page. Seems simple enough. They won't question it. They'll simply click on the link and see all their photos.

That's emailing photos, just as if you attached the pics. But it's more efficient.
