New Macro lens

Well I finally pulled the trigger and bought a Canon 100mm f/2.8 from another member here and got out to use it. Here's my first bug with it:

f/3.5 front shots and f/4 for the full body shots. I was almost back to my car, no tripod and I didn't have my ring flash, so I couldn't get much more depth.

Thank you all for the kind words. Just picked up Lulu the other day to be my macro model and got her home yesterday. She's a lovely Brown Widow Spider. A sister to the Black Widow she is considered to have venom twice as toxic as her sister yet she is not as dangerous since she does not defend her web. This is just the first shot after getting her in her current home (I really don't like it, it's an Absolut vodka bottle that REALLY should just have vodka in it) but for now you can see how photogenic she will be...
