A friend told me that I can use my Hasselblad lenses via an adapter to fit my Canon body (5D and 40D). I need your opinion and suggestion before I take this step. Apparently the adapter is manufactured in The Ukraine (reliable?).
Thanks for the tip.

I don't know about Hasselblad, but I've successfully adapted Pentax and Zeiss lenses to my Canon bodies with no issues. I believe the adapters I bought were made in China, but I'm not sure. The only issue you'll need to worry about is whether or not the lens protrudes into the camera body enough to interfere with the reflex mirror. If you're using a crop-body camera, this probably won't be an issue.

I have an adapter for using Mamiya 645 lenses on Canon bodies and it works well, so a Hasselblad lens should be fine.

In using a Hasselblad lens keep in mind you'll manually focus with the aperture wide open and then stop down to where it needs to be with the DOF preview switch on the lens latched to take the shot.

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

A Google search showed that an adapter exists. (external link)

Is it a good idea? Lenses designed for larger formats tend to have less resolution in line pairs/mm, since they don't have to, normally. But in a case like this, that would be wasted outside the sensor.

Or does the adapter change that? Or am I wrong?
