Seems like a good deal for ~ $280. Not an ipad killer, but maybe a bargain alternative if you want a tablet to play around with.

If you do the mods to it from xda forum, it is very, very responsive and works quite well. It is also basically unbrickable for the devs out there. :)

I almost prefer that. More privacy from people sitting next to you!

No literally, horrible viewing angles even for the person in front of the tablet :)
Viewsonic should be ashamed of their screens nowadays, nothing like their screens back then.

It looks like a razor to me too...

The novelty factor will wipe out the ipad 2 for sure. :-)

A tablet that doubles as a razor, that is something the ipad definitely cannot do...

Oh, I did not realize it was THAT bad. I had a old Viewsonic "wireless monitor" that was awesome. I guess we now know why they are being blown out. Thanks for the heads up.

It's not that bad. It's not great but it is workable, about 20deg up or down or so.

The tablet really does scream along and does everything I have thrown at it. Tons of apps on it now and I picked up another during the woot. I will be putting vegan on that one, while I run the stock Viewsonic rom + gapps on my current one. Actually there isn't a tablet out yet that meets the benchmarks of this Viewsonic tablet using Quadrant.

I have VNC on this so I can remote control any other laptop in the house, which is neat. I have a couple different browsers, depends on what I want to do. Flash 10.2 works great for youtube videos. I might dig out the 1D4 and make a little video on how I have mine set up, not sure where to store the video though, I don't want the bandwidth on my business website.
