Not up to par with most of the stuff on here, but I figured I would throw a couple of mine up. Let me know what you guys think:

Here is a link that sunset /(sunrise) photographers might find interesting. It is the blog of a photographer and programmer named Stephen Trainor, and he has written a marvelous piece of freeware. It is called The Photographer Ephemeris.

What it does is it imports Google maps, and then overlays the direction of the sunrise, sunset, moon rise and moon set for any given day.

You are thinking "So What?" Well, as you might know, the place that the sun and moon rises, and sets, changes slightly from day to day.

So if you have ever thought, "Gee, from here, I can see right between those two rocks (trees, mountains, buildings, whatever), it sure would be nice to get a shot of the sun setting there!"

Well, with this, you can point the marker wherever "here" is, and then make sure you are zoomed in/out enough to include the two whatevers, and the orange line points to where the sunset occurs. Then just scroll through the days till the orange line falls between the two whatevers, and, Poof!, now you know what date and time it will be when the sun sets between the two whatevers.

Imagine the possibilities. You can put in a Day Off Request at work! All sorts of stuff!

Lots of great sunsets, but this one is one of the best for me.
