Jan 28, 2014 02:57 | #6758 Well, since people liked it, here are a couple more from similar spots: IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]  (now that I look at it again, that second shot looks a tad overexposed) The sunsets lasted forever, but you had to be in the right place and the light filtering through the dust (kicked up, I suspect, by the convoys of buses bringing tourists to various vantage points - kind of a chicken and egg thing really) only lasted like 10 minutes. Amusingly it's one of these things where you go "whoa" on the spot, then look at the pictures and barely see the effect at all - spent quite some time playing with curves to bring out the beams! I was on the highway with the sun at my back originally so I didn't really notice how good it was. I merged onto a different highway and looked to my right and there it was. I couldn't get to the next exit fast enough. When I pulled off the road, there were about 3 or 4 other cars doing the same thing.
