Steinhatchee on the Gulf Coast of Florida - Massive Flying V of Migrating Birds - The photo above mine is fantastic by the way. The depth and color in the clouds is beautiful.

Thanks for the positive feedback! This is my first post of a photo on POTN so I really appreciate it. I have better exposures of the same sunset, including one I printed at 13x19 and framed (has a silhouette of my dog and daughter in water), but those birds were something else.

Forgot about this one from a few years ago and it caught my eye scrolling through Lightroom. This shot was taken on the first trip that really got me interested in landscape photography. I went back there a few weeks ago and hiked up to the top ("Misery Trail" is right in 90 degree weather), quite the different perspective from up there looking down.

On this night, the light bouncing off the rock face gave a reddish glow to everything, and I remember holding my arm out, looking at the warm glow the light gave it. Very fond memories of that trip.

A shot I took recently at 1000 Steps Beach in Laguna Beach. The Sun's rays were shining through the clouds right when I got there. Talk about perfect timing.
