That's gorgeous, WhidbeyHiker. Not sure if I should post mine after that one. It was just a bit unusual.

That's a really, really cool image, Annie! I love it!

There is one thing about which I am curious: The slopes at the base of the mountain.....on each side, they are blurred out; I mean, there is not a distinct, sharp outline of the mountain at its base. Yet higher up the slope is very sharply defined - there is a sharp outline of the upper 2/3 of the slope. This puzzles me, as it does not appear to be misty or foggy above the water, and the base of the mountain is on the same plane of focus as the upper part of the mountain. So, how come the base of the slopes are blurred and their outline is indistinct?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks for the compliment and well spotted regarding the fuzziness at the base of the hill. If you look at the slope camera left. Half-way (approx.) down the hillside there is a col connecting this hill to another hill to its south (further left). The rays of the sun are therefore spilling over the col (in the Highlands we call it a 'bealach') forming a straight but fuzzier line down to the sea. You can actually see the col in the photo. Similarly on the other (north) side but there's a smaller hill behind. Hope this makes sense.

If you look at this photo Glamaig (external link), you can see the same hill (center of photo) and the col is much clearer. This photo was taken much higher up but you can see the structure of the hill in way of explanation.
