Really like that wave side lighting on the first one Gary. That's not something you see everyday.

I live the way the sun is hitting the spray in the first one! How do you like your Sony a7ii compared to your 6D. I get jealous of it's portability! Should I consider exchanging my 6D body for a a7 and EF adapter?

Thanks guys.

It was an awesome spot and the photo's don't do justice to the size of the waves that were coming in.

Sunlight was just perfect, setting to the right hand side behind the rocks.

Re the a7ii and 6D. I really love them both.

I like some of the features of the Sony, manual focus and peaking being a couple of my favourites, and as you say the portabilitly of them is just great. My camera bag doesn't way as much now thats for sure.

I really like the images on the Sony and the DR is a lot better.

I tried to shoot some astro after we finished with the sunset and am a little stuck with the a7ii as I couldn't see anything but noise on the evf and eyepiece, even when I banged the iso up to 25600 to try and focus on some stars. The shots came ok, but I was having to guess at the compostion and just used the infinity mark on the lens. I recently brought the Sharpstar from Lonelyspec to help with focus when shooting astro, but haven't tried it yet. The 6D is just awesome for astro. Wife is not keen on my holding onto it as I also got the a6000 recently too.

I will be trying out the Sony with my Samyang 24mm F1.4 for some astro too, but if anyone has any advice for shooting astro with the Sony I'd love to hear it :)

Sony A7mkiii / Zeiss Batis 18mm f2.8 / Zeiss FE35 f2.8 / EF24-105F4L / EF70-200f4L / EF50mm f1.8 / Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro

That's a gorgeous image. Deception Pass? Love that area although haven't been there in a couple of years.

Daylight saving finished yesterday - so it's dark early now! All with Sigma 18 - 35 f/1.8 Art - wonderful lens. No tripod so braced arms on a concrete block.
