Absolutely stunning. You got lucky with the light and sky - and... no people! I've tried and failed to shoot Bass Harbor before.

Heading there in several weeks again. Is there a path down to the rocks that is easy to find in the very early AM (or in the evening)? Last time I was there 10 years back the gates to the parking behind the lighthouse were closed and I couldn't park in that very small lot. Also, where does one park if the lot is full or closed?

That's beautiful. Did it just stop raining? Last year I was there and the rocks were teaming with people. Some in high heels, some carrying dogs, the show was as much fun as the sunset.

Lesser Goldfinch...

I can't recall specifically, but I was there on a Friday so the crowds were significantly reduced. It was quite pleasant all day, enough to hike the beehive trail at least.

As for the path, it's easy enough to find - the trail is more towards the southeast end of the parking lot. I'd ask a ranger for recommendations, they are extremely helpful people.

yes, very beautiful.
An oldie! That light has been doing it's stuff for a very long time and never fails to impress.
You've captured that very well.
