Your colors are perfect! But is so much black needed? I would have cropped some off.

Thanks unclejohn. I like the 3:2 ratio. How would you crop this photo?

I like that ratio, too. And I'm jealous of your skill with colors.

First I would crop the left edge to make the single fir tree stand out as an important feature, trimming off the branches of the trees on its left to give as much open sky behind it as possible. (Note how its shape reflects the shapes of the two pointed towers.) Then I would crop off the bottom to wherever the dark and the colored areas would seem to balance best.

I don't know anything. But I know other things.

I love the look of these castles. I wonder how old it is. If it was built back in the 15th or 16th century, (or whenever) how in the world were they able to get their supplies up to the top of the mountain, and then build those tall castles even higher in the sky!?!?!?!

Herculean effort. Before machines to make man's life more productive!
I often wonder as well as places as such.

Just an FYI: Neuschwanstein Castle was built in the 19th century.

Still building in the 1800's would not have been as easy as in 1900's or today.

Thank you for this information!
