QUOTED IMAGE

I am not sure what I am looking at here Chris.... is that a gorgeous sky or is that a forest fire?

When I first saw it I thought sky, but the more I look at it, it could be fire......

I like that ratio, too. And I'm jealous of your skill with colors.

First I would crop the left edge to make the single fir tree stand out as an important feature, trimming off the branches of the trees on its left to give as much open sky behind it as possible. (Note how its shape reflects the shapes of the two pointed towers.) Then I would crop off the bottom to wherever the dark and the colored areas would seem to balance best.

Thanks unclejohn. I don't have any particular skill with colors. This photo is almost straight out of the camera. With a little vibrance and saturation adjustment. That's about it. ;)

I love the look of these castles. I wonder how old it is. If it was built back in the 15th or 16th century, (or whenever) how in the world were they able to get their supplies up to the top of the mountain, and then build those tall castles even higher in the sky!?!?!?!

This isn't a particularly old castle. It's from 1886 (external link).

I love this shot

Thanks. Due to the current situation I was only there (with my wife and 2 kids) and 2 other people. Normally this place is very crowded.

Nice picture Tim. Good viewpoint. Well done.

Thanks Ray. This is the most famous viewpoint. We walked to couple of other ones which were also very nice, but IMO not as beautiful as the 'postcard' one. ;)

Thank you Yes, dangermoney said it was built in the 19th century. Even in the 19th century it was not as easy to build as 20th century or today.
