While there, I looked to the west and saw the gap in the clouds and in the back of my mind knew it was going to be a glorious sunset. After my failed lightning attempts I turned my attention to the sunset. After the sun fell below the cloud bank it let out the most awesome and bright orange color I've seen in a long time. I had captured a few of those images but the sun was so bright they didn't come out the greatest. I waited until the sun had just set to get this amazing afterglow long exposure image.
