If I were to purchase a Rotalux 39" Deep Octa without an inner diffuser, where would I find one?

B&H sells one, but it says it's for the mini octa. I called Adorama and left a message to a person I was transferred to from sales and they haven't called me back.

Anyone know about anything about this?

Found it. Called Manfrotto distributing. Just bought a demo 39" DO from Adorama for $200. Diffuser is $25. If it's as in good shape as the e-bay auction says, then I'll order the diffuser.

You lucky SOB... lol

I ordered some BXRi's, 39" DO, and a bunch of other stuff directly from Bogen (employee purchase program) in January and the DO is still on backorder!

Some cameras, some lenses, plenty of gaffer's tape and beer.

Except it was $130 for the Kacey Enterprises adapter so that I can use the DO on my Speedos. So, I still end up spending more in the long run.

Employee purchase program huh? How much did you get the items for? Curious as to how much they discount this stuff.

It's significant, less than what the store I work at can buy it for.

I work at a small retail camera store, Bogen's thinking is pretty good, they know if we can buy the gear for cheap, use it, then we'll recommend it. There are quite a few restrictions though, (only one item per year, has to be shipped to store, can't sell within 2 years). Bogen knows they can sell a few items at a loss to get us to recommend them in the future.

Seriously, this is the 3rd such complaint in the past 24 hours; could you email me: HelenO@adorama.com (external link) the time of your call & the number you called from. We either have a system problem or

I think the person they transferred me to was Efram? Don't quote me on that though. I can't tell you when I called either. It was probably earlier in the day from when I posted this thread.

I could have given him a wrong number or any number of things.

BTW - Tracking data says it's out for delivery. Pretty impressive since I won the auction at 12:34 yesterday and didn't pay for next day shipping. I like living fairly close to New York.

PCB does post in forums, but it's usually to insult his customers or promise a cool product that's being released in 2(0) months.

I received the DO yesterday and it's in almost like new condition. The only wear in on the poles and it looks like it's just scratches from where the friction holds them into the ring. Can't wait for the Kacey adapter to arrive. Now, I just need to give Manfrotto a call today and order an inner diffuser.
