Does anyone know if this will this fit the lx-3 ball head?
I did read the post with someone using a pro media gear plate and it not having the same angle.

All I know is mine takes some effort to tighten and the rubber knob ring starts to slip. At that point I just have enough for my 50D and lens. A tighter adjustment would be nice.

I would also like to hear if this is just mine and/or if there is something I can do to it to get tighter holding power. Anyone know how to take these apart? The ball head weight and size is right for use with my HB FX-7439TT carbon fiber tripod which I really like and is very light and rigid. It's much lighter than a similar CF tripod I bought from Costco. I don't even notice carrying it in it's bag on long hikes. My wife is even willing to carry it for me. Maybe that's why I don't notice the weight .David B I'll let you know once I get mines, I went ahead and ordered the FX-34Q ...I will possibly sell my LX-5 soon since it's ballhead diameter mount is much bigger and not exactly a travel ballhead. It's sturdy as hell and I like it a lot ! Just doesn't allow my tripod legs to fold back onto it. I'm actively lazy!!

Looking at a RRS B2-Pro II screw clamp. Do the grooves in the clamp fit the top of the ballhead well ? Just received my HB LX-5 and I definitely like it. Thanks ! Plate and clamp are ordered. Don

I don't have that head in particular but I have two other horusbennu heads and they are both well compliant with the standard and fit tightly with all the different brands of arca plates I've tried.

L-plates from RRS are awesome of course, but if you don't need a full L-plate, my vote goes to Hejnar photo http://www.hejnarphotostore.com/ can you show me what you got? excact plate?
