I took a lot of shots of my niece yesterday indoor and outdoor, and the FL was ok for me. I will mostly be using this lens outdoor anyway! :)

For outdoors, the FL should not be an issue. For indoors, it may be cramped but for low-light situations... this lens truly shines. :D
