does the IS stay on while the video is on the whole time?

However i know when i do photo is stays on for the first 10-15 seconds and then shuts off...

It's effectiveness in video is not quite as strong as in stills but can help. Also, like in stills, turn it off when doing a locked down shot. Gear List

Ive just tried my 70-300 and IS is only activated when i press/half press the shutter button, just like without live view. Dave.
