Lately I've been running through YouBoob vids that show how fast someone can change a lens. I don't have a "I gotta change lenses fast" problem because of a few reasons: I use a Cotton Carrier, which means I can use more than one camera at a time, and I use more than one camera at a time. This pretty much eliminates the need for swapping lenses.

However, I thought it a good idea to make a few vids showing just how "fast" I can "change lenses", so that other people could see just how fast and easy it is to do, without having to perform some lens juggling tricks or fancy holding techniques. Drop one camera/lens combo onto the Carrier, lift another one off. Fast and easy

But, here's the fun part...It got me to think: What exactly is "fast", and who is truly fast?. First off, before anybody asks, here are the vids of me, the bald, fat, ugly guy, switching cameras...

Now, obviously I'm not doing it quite that fast and not all that smoothly, but it's pretty fast and pretty smooth regardless. In the field where I'm not trying to concentrate in front of a camera I am much smoother and a bit faster. In any regard, I thought it'd be fun to see who's got a good lens swapping technique, and who's got the fastest technique. So, anybody got vids of themselves changing lenses, and who wants the "I can change lenses faster than you" crown??

And yes, of course this is totally pointless, but hey what the heck, it's the internet, and what else do we have to do??

The only stupid question is the one that goes unasked - Photographers shoot to thrill, not to kill
