So my Mk2 started issuing grinding sounds from the IS. I talked to the customer support and they requested the lens for a checkup. Today I received it back. The very first thing I noticed is that one the factory foam caps I packed my lens in the box is gone. They just wrapped that end of the lens in some rug.
. The packaging is not near what you get from a store. There was no padding or foam peanuts, nothing. The lens box was just dancing in the postal box.
The repair order confirms the grinding sound and that it was coming from malfunctioning IS. The job description states they replaced the IS.
So I mount the lens on the camera and ..... the grinding is still there ! 
Are they joking ? The last time I had problems with my Mk 1 I had to send it three times. Every time they would do something but the issue has been fixed on the third attempt ! I am almost done ! switching to Nikon is getting more and more sane option!
