what flash for me?

hi there,
i never used a flash before but i want to get one that i can use in a lot of situations plus one that can be used later when i buy some studio equipment... i know im thinking to far ahead but its my dream and one happening soon "i hope" :)

If it was me, I would invest in a Canon 430EXII, it should be enough power for all your needs at the moment, and will still be useful for you in the future.

If $$$ is not an issue. Why not go big and get the 580ex as your first?

I don't know about your future dreams with studio equipment but I have used a Yongnuo YN465 flash for the past two years, Canon ETTL, manual controls, etc. $65

Another vote for the 430EX2. Smaller than the 580 and less than a stop weaker. You can trigger it optically with your 60D and have ETTL.

Downside is there is no battery pack port and the head swivels less (270° rather than 360° but with a simple modification you can put the missing 90° wherever you want it).


Image editing and C&C always OK
