That's why you never point a gun at someone unless you're looking to kill them, loaded or unloaded you should always treat any gun as a loaded weapon. Rule #1 on everyone's list on gun safety.

I don't think charges are needed here. This is just an unfortunate accident. Really sucky for the B+G (and the dead photographer and his family, too). All around a bad deal.

I strongly disagree. It's definitely a tragic accident, but one that could have been avoided with half a brain. Whomever handed the LOADED guns over should be charged with manslaughter. PERIOD.

Spot on Mike,
It's just nuts that we keep hearing of people getting accidentally shot by a gun that was still loaded. Also who leaves a bullet in the chamber when the gun is not in use??????

Oh Egad - a loaded gun at a wedding? I shot a double wedding once and the other wedding party had the gangsta look, replete with fake machine guns. I was very nervous watching the wedding party get in their cars and drive to the reception...I can only imagine what they would've said to a police officer had they been stopped...

This is where common sense, or the lack there of, comes into play. This type of thing does not happen unless common sense is removed from the equation.

Heavy sigh! what a shocking story! Well, A gun is not a toy it should not be there as part of the wedding celebration whatsoever..My it be loaded or unloaded, still it should be strictly prohibited..It's a wedding and not some kind of a hostage scene..

That's a matter of perspective.

Definitely unfortunate, but there's no reason to have a loaded gun pointed at you. Poor preperation resulted in a casuality.

As for weapons being involved in a wedding ceremony; well that's up to the wedding parties. To each their own, but pointing it at one another is just asinine.

That's a matter of perspective.

Unfortunately, there are many who act as if firearms are in fact toys.

There's just no excuse to lose your head in front of your clients like that.

haha I know it is bad to laugh at it but it is funny.

I thought the rule about not pointing guns at people unless you intend to actually shoot them was pretty basic, apparently not.

Well, as logical it is not everyone uses their brains as intended to (for thinking).
