Photoshop - saving for web question

i'm building a site and my wordpress theme designer said to save my jpg. files for web.

this is the first time i'm doing it so kinda new to me.

i see 'original' and 'optimized' and 1up and 2up. Not sure what all these mean.

FWIW - i dont like the way 'optimized' looks - it looks like its over sharpening my photo.

any guidance on the right way to go about 'saving for web' ?

I was having trouble with my first time attempting to upload to a site earlier, thanks for the link!

And "Save for Web" also includes your EXIF image info. That will help reduce questions like, "What were your settings?" & allow you to include © info with the image.
