To me I honestly think the Ground is to Bright for the Subject.

I get what you're going for but I personally don't get the feeling the leaf is alone. I don't know if one red leaf amongst a bunch of green would do the trick or one red pebble amongst the the earth tone colors that are there. Maybe my examples portray individuality... I just can't put my finger on it.

You're so right Flo...it completely changed the way I looked at the picture. I probably would have focused more on the contrast of colors and such however I looked at the leaf from the prospective of begin alone.

Going back to the alone I think its a spacial thing...not enough space to make you feel it is all by itself.

It 's my peeve, it mostly always make you think you something other than what you are looking at. Let the photo stand on its own without titles.
