My main concern would be this -- what happens when the guy that sells his 40D mails out a box, tracked, with a brick in it? He defends his paypal claim by providing the tracking number, and the buyer is out whatever it is that the person paid for it.

The buyer is always right with paypal for sure . . . and heavily weighted toward the buyer with ebay as well. The only thing ebay will go to bat for is fees.
