I would say to fix up a couple of those blemishes on top of what others have said.. particularly the one right in between his eyes on his nose.

There are just a few things I would try to do, first make sure his eyes are completely sharp. Second if you're trying to go for a bokeh, maybe pick a less distracting background. And finally, the photos seem a bit dull in color, I don't know if you can pick a different background or just try to do that in PP. Good luck! I used Photoshop CS4 for this Image and used the Kubota Action and a few other tweeks.

Mar 30, 2011 17:31 | #22 If you were shooting the first few at f1.8, you need to look at where your point of focus was, as it appears that it may have been the tip of his nose. At that aperature, you have a very shallow depth of field, hence the "soft look". I would have shot this at >f5.6 and tried to balance flash with ambient light hence an even exposure. Good luck!
