At the same time, the shadows are too dark, no detail. The angle does nothing for me, and neither does the background. I'd say try again. Check out the automotive strobist setup thread to figure out where to place the light so you don't get the blown out areas.

Thanks for your constructive criticism..... High Dynamic Range means there is detail in the extremely bright, and the extremely dark. The multiple-shot stitching is one technique to achieve this. Your picture, on the other hand is the exact opposite of HDR -- no detail in the bright, no detail in the dark. Gear List
