Apr 04, 2013 14:00 | #207 There are a lot more travel zooms around since I got the SX220. And some of them seem to be a lot better. The SX220 seems to be quite aggressive with its sharpening, leaving small 'holes' in the photo that can easily be seen when zoomed 1:1. I've ended up shooting in Program mode trying to avoid the problem. Garry Knight

Apr 05, 2013 10:40 | #209 The SX50HS looks like a good camera. I could do with a good bridge camera. I've been looking at the Nikon P510 but even that is out of my price range at the moment. If I ever get a better travel zoom, it's more likely to be an Olympus or Fuji - anything that can handle longish zoom without turning the details to mush. Garry Knight
