Hi Garry,

Just wanted to say that I think your photos are incredible!

I have had the SX 230 for over a year now, and I love it - am particularly impressed by the zoom which is far superior to anything I've had previously.

I must confess though I am guilty of using the "Auto" setting far too much! Am now determined to learn how to use the other functions (P, Av, Tv & M) and take control of my pictures.

A quick question - what do you generally have the "AF Frame" set to?

I just about always have it set to Center. I was using Av mode all the time but found that the background was mushier so I set it to P nowadays.
