Heh! The whole thing about wearing ties got a chuckle out of me. The thought that first went through my head was "I've never had to wear a suit and tie!"

Well, then my memory cleared -- to way back, for several years starting in the late '70s and going to about 1985, I actually had to wear a suit and tie! I was in a position of responsibility somewhere where it was part of the "working uniform"!

My how the memory fades! By the late '80s I started at a corporation where "casual" was the dress code, moved onto another corporation and worked there for 15 years where not even the managers over the whole 2000-person workforce were "required" to "dress up"...

I don't think I've worn anything but jeans for the past 20 years, except for the sweats I wear at home (or summer/beach wear).

TONY! Steven is here. BEWARE

Broadband connection be damned. He won't even spend a couple dollars on a ground wire. That fancy system is doomed to be short-lived.

I wonder how bright those blue LEDs will glow during a thunderstorm?

not sure if its a couple dollars... I think I would need to spend more than $200 or even more just to have it.

but why do you guys think all our plugs here are only 2 pins?

*sigh* wrote in post #12116612 (external link)
Is it the same ram or just another 16gb kit?

themadman wrote in post #12116626 (external link)
Another one, but similar, G Skill instead of Corsair...

I am debating if it is worth buying this and then returning my previous kit...

if you get G skills 2 x4gb then double it you will end up at about $180 I think so that's a good discount you got there :D

-> The problem is, it'll make me slightly paranoid in situations where someone could attempt to rob me. Daylight at university or the town centre is fine. -> But else...

If I move from wool I move to trousers made from cotton -> but not Jeans.

I'm a bit confused, how does wearing a dress shirt and tie make your laptop, watch and pens more safe than wearing jeans and a shirt?

you told me only the asrock needed ram hehe... you said intel needs regular DDR3 :p

and oh my laptop rams are 2x512mb 667 so I can't use them hehe

No, I told you exactly the opposite. The Intel needs laptop ram and the ASRock needs regular ram. Even look at the newegg lists, the intel board has laptop ram :p

DetlevCM wrote in post #12119092 (external link)
ok...
But it still means going into a shop and buying clothes... it's something I don't like...

I agree with you on that one :p
