Heh! The whole thing about wearing ties got a chuckle out of me. The thought that first went through my head was "I've never had to wear a suit and tie!"

Well, then my memory cleared -- to way back, for several years starting in the late '70s and going to about 1985, I actually had to wear a suit and tie! I was in a position of responsibility somewhere where it was part of the "working uniform"!

My how the memory fades! By the late '80s I started at a corporation where "casual" was the dress code, moved onto another corporation and worked there for 15 years where not even the managers over the whole 2000-person workforce were "required" to "dress up"...

I don't think I've worn anything but jeans for the past 20 years, except for the sweats I wear at home (or summer/beach wear).

Any of you fans of Mad Men...that is how we used to dress up for work before, I was not old enough to use a stetson hat for work, but at big blue , white shirt and full suits, gray or blue typically...fast forward for last ten years been on business casual which means sports coat over shirt, but when presenting with customers still tie and suit.

Now I am typically in 511 tactical shorts or long pants, very comfortable and plenty of pockets with velcro that prevented attempts of Roma pickpockets in Spain- Madrid and Barcelona and another failed try to distract me in Granada.

Cheers,
Tony

See Steven!
(I had to make sure I didn't mess it up when I was telling you what to get)

So I went a bit over budget... but...

Build #1 (external link) - ASRock Board

Build #2 (external link) - Intel Board

Only difference is the Intel branded board uses laptop ram and is limited to 4gb while the ASRock uses regular DDR3.

I also went with 4gb which is overkill so that would drop the price some going with like 2gb. :p

I wonder why my Steam on the stormtrooper don't see Batman as downloaded... while it sees the Portal and Halflife :(

I need to download it again for another 1.5hours. I'll just leave this on while GF sleeps...so it would finish downloading Batman in 1.5hours :D

haha no worries Nick, I figured if I need to upgrade this thing again in the next few years I would just buy the next generation of this boards... for $75 it can't be beat. an upgrade all in one already

haha yeah good thing it comes with a sticker that points everything on the board. I just sticked it to the inner side panel...
