That is bad news, but it could be worse.

There are more important things to worry about than some price rises on various products. (Although it still sucks)

I turn off notifications from threads Detlev as I am always right nere...

and oh its tradition here to backread and comment on any post

I rarely do it coz I am always in here, but somehow I have done it 2x already since the beginning of this thread...its all because there's 2 guys here trying to run me over. Omar and Nick hahahaha

Or so :) I can't live without notifications.

First things first, you should think more positive rather than negative. That helps a lot! Ultimately, only you can truly help yourself. Everyone else around you, your family, your friends, your girlfriend (perhaps), and us here, we want to support you, but it comes down to you to make the choices. As long as you move forward with your head high and feel happy about yourself, that's all that really matters. ^_^

It's not the computers, just your horrible connection. :p:lol:

Very good point - I have a very negative attitude, especially about myself. -> On that note though, it just results in fewer disappointments, I expect the worst anyway...
But you make a good point :)
And head high, I think that's a give by the nature of my size ;)

I'm a bit confused, how does wearing a dress shirt and tie make your laptop, watch and pens more safe than wearing jeans and a shirt?

I'd say it makes it less noticeable.
-> A nice watch fits nicely with a shirt.
(especially when it is just about hidden by the cuff ;):))

Also, if you see a guy in a shirt with a laptop you won't look twice, if that person looks "more commonly dressed" you look out of curiosity...

You say that like there bad points?!?

Because I consider them to be bad points :)
-> On that note though, as others have pointed out, everybody is different.

I saw this. It was to be expected. I'm glad I purchased my lens before the rebates ended. It's going to be tough for many to get what they want now for some time to come.

I'm also bummed if any previously planned announcement is going to get canned for a while.

Well, it may be like there where you are.

But that definitely isn't the case here. Everywhere you walk, especially around universities just about everyone has a laptop. In fact people that are in dress clothes stick out a lot more than those in plain clothes :p

Taller than most here in the UK at 188,5cm ;)
Not so bad in Germany - but the tallest people on average are the Dutch at 178cm I think.

Not everybody carries a laptop in the UK -> and they are pretty much useless with trying to type formulae... pens are so much more enjoyable :)
On the train you get quite a few "suits".

Definitely agree with you about laptops being terrible for formulas...

I was an aerospace engineering major when I first started college... I hardly ever used my laptop for notes just because it was so impractical.
