For my landscapes, I always bracket or use my filters. My recommendation is to use LV and(spot is the best) meter even if it's handheld. That way you're not guessing your exposure. One thing to note is that the LIVE histogram is approximate and not always accurate. So, always stop down to 1/3 to 2/3rds for the exposure. I promise that you'll nail the exposure everytime.
