... Toast... instant coffee and an espresso in the morning....

Good morning everybody! (me = tired)

Good morning! Hope you have a nice day. :)

It will soon be bed time for me.

Taller than most here in the UK at 188,5cm
Not so bad in Germany - but the tallest people on average are the Dutch at 178cm I think.

You're much taller than me. I am about 178cm (5 feet 10 inches).

somebody is sabotaging my connection

hahaha it must be Nick

I have no internet nor phone connection at work today

earliest possible time it will comeback is tomorrow... I am currently at home bringing food to the GF and of course posting here haha

Well Steven, we have to find some creative way to prevent you from spamming too much!

Unbeknown to Omar and Nick, it could be me messing with your connection, secretly rooting for them. Hyar hyar hyar.

Nah, it's been plenty fast enough in here today. Everyone just seems to go away when I have nothing to do. Everyone but Roger that is.

Or perhaps it's just that you happen to be busy and absent from here when it's happening? ;)

Steven and I temporarily halted the geek talk last night with photos of desserts, but of course as soon as I went to bed the geekiness resumed.

Try a white swan on a near black background -> water ;)

Same idea, just the other way around.

Understanding how the camera thinks helps a lot though!

I'm not complaining. Just glad I'm not doing that anymore...

I never really minded calculus... it was just more than I would have liked to do :p

I wasn't a very motivated freshman either... so it was even worse

Here is something else I don't understand :D the names of certain years... for me it's year 1, 2 -> final year (this can be either 3 or 4 depending on whether you do a placement)

And calculus, from what I've seen of it, engineering couldn't exist without it, although most would be in computers nowadays, things like heat flow... air/liquid flow...

This place is like a trip to the zoo. The monkeys make a lot of incoherent noise.

There is only one monkey here. But you are right, this is a zoo!

It does contain a lot, but never what you aim to find ;)
-> Book + notes is sometimes best, but it varies.

Yeah, here everything is pretty much based on a 4 year program (a lot of it is a waste though... stupid pointless classes). A few majors are starting to push it closer to a 5 year.

So 1st year is freshman, 2nd sophomore, 3rd junior and 4th senior.

As for Calc and engineering you are absolutely correct. One thing that bugged me though was you did the same thing over and over again... no hands on, very little computer based modeling at the beginning (Which I understand to a point... but it would have been nice to have been exposed to that from the beginning). I also pretty much started out as a sophomore (2nd year) because of the amount of credits I earned in high school.
