Getting ready to pick up that 7D?

Hehe.....Sorta. Just getting all the money ready and such. Will likely be another month or two before I can get the 7D. But, if it means selling my brain to science, I'm getting the 7D this year.....hehe. :D

so to piss of Julian and Omar, I did get to play with a Hasselblad this weekend for a photoshoot. It was good fun :)

That and the nice 200L lens too :D

Eh that doesnt piss me off  I have zero interest in a Hasselblad. The 200L ive used a few times since Mark has one and Nick had it before. :D Isn't that lens a nice one :D

I hope so. As I mentioned earlier in the thread I don't have the box for it and I bought it in Beijing so even though it's not a grey market camera I'm not sure how people really feel about that. I figure I'll throw it up as a Canadian listing first to see if there's any bites and if not open it to the US after. I pondered doing a trade-in on it but the price most shops here give you on trade-ins is garbage.

I don't think not having the original box and manual should matter (should it? ). I don't have any of the original boxes for my stuff and I'd be luck to have a few of the manuals around. I did check out trade-in prices at a few places, and ya, utter crap. I know my 350D isn't worth much, but I figured my 70-300 IS might be get something decent as a trade-in.....nope.

We usually sit in the hair pin but we're thinking Turn 2 on the exit apex this year as the hairpin hasn't been the same since the rules change and Kubica's nasty crash that one year.

That was the last time I was at the Montreal GP.

When you are by turns 5-6, you can move about around the corners so you can either watch the cars come in, or exit. Great to see different lines in/out of the corners, plus overtaking. Place is not as manic as turn 2 or the hairpin.

Yeah we watched Kubica's car literally explode right in-front of our eyes. We were sitting at the very bottom of the inside hairpin grandstand and just saw this car slam into the wall infront of us and shatter everywhere.

I figure with the rule changes that have happened it'll be a rather boring race... there's not as much passing or aggressive driving these days with all the new rules so I might as well see all the fun happen on the first lap in Turn 2 and then go wander off for the next 2 hours and come back for the final lap :p
