Really its about ergonomics, not anything else, She tried and liked the D3100...so i told her she should get that than trying to be like dad and i with the Rebel..

and i have almost 300 pictures of me faffing about with the flash unit and that to go through...

ill see if i had any keepers..i have a couple of a lemon that came out ok...

Sorry I traumatized you. I do love my Sigmas tho. Although my 50mm 1.4 needs +5 on one camera and +7 on the other... nothing is perfect I guess. well... it works close to eprfect on my 5D... just not the 7D or 5D2 =/

Those better be six bit coded. I'd start with the 35 or 50 f2 Summicron ASPH.

No need for coding above 30mm on the M series even the M8. M9 you can punch the code in via the interface but it's just below 30mm you need coding which is why I chose the 24 ASPH Elmarit. Summicron's are much better for the non ASPH ones
