Not bad at all for first time.
The color on that G11 is great!
Work on filling the frame with the action. Spit on the port & rub it around about 5 min. before you go out. Water drops on the port will crush a great shot.
If you dont surf yourself, .... start! Only a surfer knows the feeling.

Keep 'em coming ;)

another thing along those lines is make sure you know the "ettiquite" of surfing, and how a surfer surfs, i guess you could say.

Along with spitting on the port VERY often, right before you pull the trigger, dunk the rig under the water. You should have a good fifteen seconds or so of the water "sheening" on the port, giving you (hopefully;-)a )a spot free shot. I have a handful of great shots that were ruined by water spots on the port. Keep shooting.

Oooo I am a surfer big time....that day I got confused, should I surf or should I photo! hahaha. Tnx for the spit & rub tip...I guess it is like scuba diving. Next time I will go more prepared, get flippers etc. These shots were shot while standing on the rock, I need to get closer to the point break. I guess flipper and Boogie board will help.

Gonna practise on that. I guess in a month I will have killer shots...

Yeah I want those drama shots....these are unique I think. To capture the facial expressions and all that. From the beach it is not much of the challenge for me.

Tnx again for the tips people!
cheers!
