So as i am learning, im improving fast where understanding camera and lighting is concerned, but as for posing... Its a disaster!
How do you guys flow through your posing? Please i need help. I particularly looking for the work flow through passing a family through a studio shoot. Is there any tutorials or anything?
I had a failed session today due to trying too hard to get their poses rite. Next thing i know 2 hours have passed and i got only a hand full of pictures and they are showing signs of getting tired and bored. posing really needs skill man!!

I have a cheat sheet that I created from poses that I've seen and like. I put 9 pictures on a sheet and made a small book that I keep in my bag. You can study them and practice setting up the pose, you'll eventually get used to it and can set it up from memory.

Ya i guess its a talent that sets in with time. Actually i have made a few cheat sheets myself but i find that i can never replicate the poses well enough. I post a few pictures on this site for c&c and then try to correct the mistakes. Unfortunately 100% of my mistakes are pose related and when i try to follow the c&c advice, it becomes a tiresome process to coordinate the person into the pose that ends up making them frustrated and ruins the mood of the shoot. It also ends up that i cant get through all the poses on my cheat sheet.
So i was just thinking from now on that im not going to try go for the most elegant look possible and just get the 'ballpark' poses. Hopefully as time goes it will fall into place.

If you have iphone or phone that can show pics, save them to the phone.
