The moon was only visible for a minute just before this shot and I missed it due the previous long exposure I was taking with the in camera noise reduction on. I did not expect it ; due to the total cloud cover.

Nice work. I turned off the in camera noise reduction on my 40D due to missed oppertunities, it seems to take for ever as you watch the sun rise/set and are unable to shoot it. FRUSTRATING.

You got your shot though and it's a good'un

That's pretty. I'm thrown off a bit by the brightness of the light right there in the middle of the rocks. And even that's just a personal opinion. :-)

Beautiful shot. The light rocks almost look like some light painting.

Thanks for the comments; I used a 3 stop gnd to retain some detail in the foreground and this was a first for me doing a little light painting with my flashlight.

Beautiful shot! Did you flash the foreground, or was there a light?

Cheers, Helen

Thanks everyone for the comments; I wanted to get a second exposure without the moon blown out to blend but by the time the in camera noise reduction ended it disappeared behind the clouds. It doesn't look like it but the the sky was in full cloud cover.

I agree, it has a very comfortable feel to it.
Have you tried removing the flashlight work with your computer program, and seeing how it looks?
