Profoto to replace WL X1600...??

Lately, my Whitelightning strobes (X1600 and X800) have become rather unreliable in terms of their output. If I meter the light five times, I will get five different readings (off by 1/2 or 1/3 f/stop). I am considering purchasing Profoto D1 500 to get consistent output. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Cameras: 1DX, 1Ds Mark III
Lenses: 24 TSE II, 50L, 85L II, 24-70L II, 70-200L II
Flash: 600 EX with STE3, Einstein
