My father-in-law wanted to make a trip to the zoo with the kids. He's recently had his second spinal fusion, so our trip was an abbreviated one. We hit the animal exhibits that he wanted to see. Here's a few from today.

1. One of the Asian elephants on exhibit:

2: Whispering sweet nothings in his ear. Either that or nagging the crap out of him. No it's not on a tilt. They are standing at the bottom of a small hill.

3. Showing his shy side:

4. Posing for the camera.

5. He started to get a bit annoyed at a big white lens pointing at him.

6. He finally warmed up to the camera when someone mentioned bananas. "Say Cheese."

Thanks. We have family membership to the zoo so we'll be going back soon to get the big cats and polar bear.
