I wonder why you used ISO 2500 for it? Seems as if a lower ISO would give you more time to work & reduce noise, too.

Thank you! You have to remember that it is just about pitch black here. This was on a no-moon night, so other than my own light, it's very hard to see much of anything. So, I generally need the highest ISO and largest aperture I have, in order to expose the shot in under 50 seconds which is about the amount of time that I have before stars trail too much.

As anything, it's a balancing game. I take more noise at the expense of getting more "stopped" stars (which helps to cover the noise up too).
