I do a kart league with some friends and shot some pictures of a warm up session. I used to race fast karts when I was growing up but my racing activities have changed and now we just run these little ones every other weekend. They aren't that fast but it's a tight track so they get their use. These are my first attempt at moving shots. 7D and 50mm prime, Servo/Focus,Focus/One Shot/Manual

Pretty mundain pictures with nothing to catch ones eye. I'm sure for those that are involved they are great captures though.

Fair enough. Any tips on what might make for more interesting shots of this sort?

well considering that advise was only coming from someone with general photography knowledge and not much motor sports experience, I'm not exactly sure. Definitely keep an eye on the other threads though. the backgrounds are pretty distracting especially the one with the houses perhaps open up the aperture?

Start with getting lower and shooting tighter.

Well, I think the first problem is I shot with the 50mm prime. I actually shot most if not all of them with a pretty open aperture, in the 2s maybe...There is no focal length to speak of so for this type of shot there is not a lot of isolation. Next time I will use my 24-105 and zoom in.

Thanks!
